New Apartment!!

I have an apartment!!! I’m super excited to say that I am now going to be living at 715 Wilson Ave!! My girlfriend and mom went over and checked it out for me and decided it was sweet enough to be my place for next year. I shall have many people over, cook many meals, and there will be much rejoicing!! I have pictures I could put up but since the current occupants have all their stuff in there I’m going to hold off on that until this summer and I get moved in. I’m super excited about this and have been so blessed by my mom and Jordan, it’s just amazing to see God provide for me while I’m over here.

Authenticity pleases Christ

It’s been a long time since I’ve really just had time to sit and be with the Lord, to long in fact. Ever since I got here to Toulouse I’ve felt like I’ve needed to be someone and it’s taken the greater part of 4 months until I realized it. The team I am part of is so unlike me, they thrive off of being with other people, where it wears me down and out. I felt like I needed to be someone who Christ didn’t create me to be, I felt like I needed to be more like them.

Personality Test

So today as part of a team meeting we took personality tests and well I got mine back, and it was so bizarre. It came up the same as last time I took it, but for the first time I took a genuine look at the observations of those who study these things and I must admit that for the most part they were right on. According to the test it says I have become more introverted, which I would have been able to tell you. I’ve valued my time drawn away from people so much more since being here in France and having three room-mates. I love talking with them and they are amazing Godly men, but I still need paul time. For a long time I seemed to force myself to be different but now there is a shift.

Dome of St. Peters Basillica, Vatican City
Jumping from the Tower in the previous post over to Rome and the Vatican City. This is a shot from inside St. Peters Basillica looking up into the vaulted dome as the sun pierces the air.

To see my favorite photos (like this and the one of tower bridge) from this trip please visit the set at my flickr account! Or you can browse the hundreds of photos I took over the week of the trip.

New Years Resolutions 2006

So I’m not big on making these, and this will seem a bit different than most lists, but we were encouraged to think about what we want to see God do in our lives this year. So after putting a lot of time in reflection of last year, prayer for this next year, here is what I have and will be praying for this year.

-Daily Morning Intercession (for friends, ministry, RTC, myself)
-Growth/Maturity in use of Gifts (tongues, prophecy, healing, teaching)
-Relationship with Jordan (future, intimacy, commitment)
-Revelations and Cleansing of my impurities (motives, strongholds, traditions, attitudes)
-Zealously seek God
-Perseverance and Passion (“Father, give me power from the Holy Spirit to love Jesus as you do.”)

Discover more of God this year!
