This past weekend was our spring retreat for our crusade movement here at Stout. It was a fun weekend to spend hanging out with friends and meeting new people. While the content of the talk was fairly familiar to me, the Lord still moved in that time to revel things to me that require my attention.

Nothing in my faith has been as fundamental or important as the time I spend daily praying and weekly fasting. This past weekend the Lord reminded me how much he wants to hear my prayers so that he can give the answer to them that he wants too.

“You do not have, because you do not ask God.” James 4:2
For a long time now I have been rationalizing my prayers to god, trying to explain to Him why he should answer my petition and this truth had been forgotten. That God desires to answer our prayers and I was lacking to confidence to believe that.

Instead believing that it was my persuasiveness that would bring God’s will to earth, not his infinite love and passion for his children.

I’m not sure how all the feeds will read the work I just did today but I added up around 200 new posts to the blog.

Maybe I should clarify that they aren’t exactly new posts. They are from back when I had coded my own blog but I had never gotten around to tinkering with the databases to move the remainder of the posts over to WordPress. Well today I did it, wasn’t that difficult actually and it only took about 45 minutes.

Not bad considering it’s been quite a while since I’ve played with my old friend mySQL. I have a few projects coming up that I hopefully will be working on quite intently and they involve me dusting off the php/mySQL work and learned some new things. This is something that excites me. I’m getting kind of bored with school this time of year because the bulk of the teaching seems to be done, now it’s just a matter of packing a few more things in and then tests/papers/projects

Thats all for now, will photo blog some photos from France soon too. its on my to-do list.

UPDATE: I realized that since I bipast the word press workflow that posts I added didn’t get submitted to the feeds. so yea, thats cool. If you want to check them out they are from January 2004 until May 2005. some 160ish posts.
