Summer is almost gone…

without comments

It’s weird to think that summer is almost done. I only have another eight days at Wireless Ronin before heading back to school. This is a weird feeling, realizing how close we are to being done with our studies (only this coming semester for both of us) and whatever else comes next.

We still don’t know what that is, but it’s been fun seeing how God has given us people to talk to and who have encouraged us to keep going in pursuing our options. The table is still full of options for us and as we learn more we’ll share that.

Right now our focus is on the next two transitions for us, the one back into this semester, and then the one into January. You’re prayers for our discernment are greatly appreciated!

Can’t wait to be back at school, and to see everyone again! Until then, embrace life.

Our Broken Fridge…

with one comment

We Arrived tonight in Menomonie for a weekend and it turns out that our fridge is broken (but the light still turns on…). As of now we don’t know to what extent it is, but we walked up the stairs to our place and were just taken back by the putrid smell from the kitchen. At the time neither of us knew what was going on, it smelt like we had only forgotten to take out the trash (x 1000).

So yea, the fridge is empty and cleaned from top to bottom, but it still smells horrible. There is baking soda just sitting on plates in both the fridge and freezer, and an email has been sent to our landlord. It has been quite the first year in this apartment as we have had three bats, and the need to get the whole place rewired so that the outlets work properly. We are blessed that our landlord is so willing to help out and put priority onto our problems.

This isn’t exactly the reason we came to Menomonie this weekend, but I’m glad we did. I can’t imagine how it would have smelt given another week or two. It was terrible the way it was this time. It has had to be a few days, as everything was melted or thawed out. No ice cubes, every frozen piece of meat, veggie, or sliced potato was a goner. We guess it was probably close to $200 of food. grrrrrrrr.

Another time

We're Alright!!

without comments

Many of you should have heard about the collapse of I35W here in the Minneapolis area. While it is a bridge we used to frequent weekly, both Jordan and myself are fine, and so far no-one we know has been involved in the ordeal of August 1.
I realized yesterday that it had been quite a while since I had set time aside to write here at paulprins.net. The summer has really started to fly by since I started working at Wireless Ronin as an intern. It’s exciting work, and has been really good. I’m the web guy there now it seems. Only three weeks and change left there, that’s really weird to think about.

Check out over at paulandjordan.com as we have put up our first video ministry podcast. It won’t stream to itunes (mainly because they aren’t our target) but we hope to update there every first of the month.
