This has to be one of the most awesome notes that my wife has left for me yet.
For the record, I have been awake for nearly 6 hours and haven’t seen the lady bug yet. Must be an extra sneaky one.

Happy Anniversary to Us!
Happy Second Anniversary to us! YAAY!
The last two years have gone by so quickly! Of all the things i could post here, some sweet and enduring things crossed my mind, and then I saw this from one of the best sites on the Internet.
Thank you so much for putting up with such a ridiculous husband. I love you more then i ever thought I could.
(Oh and for the rest of you, I did get her flowers, not just this fabulous post about squirrels and coffee).
Graduation is almost here
Today Jordan and I picked up our cap and gowns from the book store (cost us $50+! but they seem nicer than the plastic high school ones) and got our graduation tickets from the service desk.
My list of tasks to complete before the end of the term is shrinking as well, slowly but surely. From an original 20 items as of last Sunday down to 15 right now. This leaves me with
- Four Papers
- Two Quizzes
- Two Exams (only one finals week!)
- Some flash grammar tutorials
- Some web code
- one set of online discussion participation
Thats it!
My application is also now complete over at Bethel Seminary. I should be hearing back this week from the sounds of it so I’ll be sure to post up here when I hear back!!

State Fair Food 2007!!
This year Jordan and I went to the Minnesota State Fair with some good friends (Kyah and Rob respectively) and had a blast. We also discovered that when you pair up with friend the amount of food you can consume and purchase as a group increases!! Below is the pictorial diary of our good eats (albeit a month after the fact).
So what all did we eat? In order from the top left; Pronto Pup, Deep Fried Snickers Bar, Gelato Ice Cream, Tom Thumb Mini Donuts, cinnamon and Sugar Lefsa, Pickle on a Stick, Spaghetti and Meatball on a Stick, Free Water!, Roasted Nuts, Salmon on a stick, Wild Game Bratwurst, Lemon aid, Shaved Hawaiian Ice, Cheese Curds, Cotton Candy, Roasted Corn on the Cob, 1919 Draft Root beer, Bucket of Sweet Martha’s Cookies, and All the Milk you can Drink for a dollar!!
Jealousy should have already set in.
It was a great day, we escaped just before the clouds opened up and it started to pour down the rain (we went on 8/28 for $8 at the gate!). To see more photos hit the link! Continue reading
New York City!!!
It has been a few weeks since we returned from NYC but it was a really fun trip. After finals were done we headed to the twin cities and took off the next morning for New York. The balance of just finishing another semester with being somewhere on vacation is just awesome.

First REAL Christmas Tree
I don’t really have much else to add here other then Jordan and I went out on a christmas tree cutting adventure. I also have a video of us putting the decorations on I will upload one of these days.
Our Valentines Feast!
So for our valentines day Jordan and I decided to stay in. While we were on our honeymoon one of the days it was raining so we watched some TV (not much else to do at a beach resort) and they made duck on the food network. I gave it a try and it turned out great!
Everything on the table includes the Duck a l’orange, twice baked herb potatoes, and sesame garlic asparagus with a glass of Cotê de Rhone.
Then for dessert Jordan made these amazing chocolate lava cakes. ohhhhh gooie fudge goodness.
Taking my Wife Skiing!!!
Yesterday I took Jordan on our first runaway date since we got married last month. We drove up to Duluth for the day and skied it up at Spirit Mountain. It was super good but very cold. For Jordan this is a first, and she did really good! We’re both looking forward to getting out there and ‘shredding’ it up again.
1 Month!
Its now been a month since we got married. Kind of a crazy month shifting from wedding planning, honey moon, moving in, and back into college life. There has been a lot of transition going on in my life, and most of it is intangible.
Im so grateful that I am a Christian in a Christian marriage. It gives me such encouragement to know that everything is in Gods hands, that he has put us together to encourage and challenge one another as well as to bring Him glory. Im not one to even pretend to understand how this is working.
What I do know is that in the times when I am truly resting an trusting Him with the details my patience and understanding are so much greater with Jordan. It allows me to look at the situations that we find ourselves in and be able to smile and enjoy the moments.
Im in the process of modifying paulandjordan.com into blog form and it will become a place for us to post about our ministry involvement and lives. Should be cool to see happen and evolve. I hope to keep more up to date on how that change is taking place.
