Sermon: The Unexpected Journey

This last Thursday I had the opportunity to speak at the first weekly meeting of UW – Stouts’ Campus Crusade. It was a lot of fun to get back to Stout and see a bunch of familiar faces, and even more new faces. With everything that has been going on there, I was overwhelmed to see 171 students pack out the lecture hall they were meeting in.

The message I gave was an adaptation of one that i prepared for a preaching competition over at Bethel Seminary. So it was the second time giving the message, and much improved over the first time. If you have a half hour check it out, and please leave me your thoughts and feedback!

Be blessed!

Sickest Violin I've ever heard in a long time, period.

YouTube Preview Image

The above video has to be some of the sickest violin playing I’ve ever heard. Over the past few weeks I’ve been meaning to pick up my violin again and would love to be able to rock it like Paul Dateh does here. Mixing my passion for the violin with my love of hip hop. So awesome. He has a bunch more at his website, pauldateh.com, his myspace,  and his youtube channel.

Check it out, or at least listen to part of the mix above. Got some Gnarls Barkley in there near the end.

Digging back into the archives quite the ways here is a video put together during the summer of 2001 with footage from my first ever ski event held in bemidji, MN at Buena Vista ski area. It was a small turn out of about 20 skiers, a couple snowboarders, and a little crowd.

The event was fun and this started my launch into producing events and led to MSO2, MSO3, and the Midwest Skier Open in the following three years. As-well-as the production of two movies Good Ideas and espionage (which will be posted in part/full later).

video: laundry

There has been a lot of transition over the last several weeks for me, a month ago I just finished celebrating my birthday on the southern coast of France. Now I am living in small town midwest. Of all things involving moving you home, it is doing laundry that really makes me feel like I’ve arrived.

First real video podcast I’ve had time to make. Hopefully there will be more in the future. If you check it out please let me know what you think!! leave a comment!

I’m Engaged!!

So there ya have it!! After all this time (OK, so nearly 22 years) I’ve been living it has happened. I found my wife and she said yes!!!

Jordan flew in last Saturday and we spent the week together. I actually asked her on Sunday but because we wanted to call people first I have resisted posting anything online here or elsewhere. So here is my first public announcement. Jordan Elise and I are gonna get hitched! Below is a short 6 minute video with some of the lead up to the engagement. I’m a hopeless romantic who did a decent job with all of this stuff (more than decent if ya ask Jordan).
